Gorsley Post Office
& Stores.
The Gorsley Post Office & Stores has been one of the centers of village life in Gorsley since its construction in the 19th century. Originally known as the Royal Stores after its builder Royal Cracknell this charming little shop is a fine example of that increasingly rare 'Village Shop'.
Owned by Gordon & Diane Martin the shop has a wide range of items for locals and tourists alike. All the essentials that you would expect to find like groceries, newspapers, toiletries and stationery are here together with a range of local fruit, vegetables, pickles and chutneys.
There are freshly baked pies and pastries and a tasty selection of filled baguettes and sandwiches. You can even get a fresh cup of tea or coffee.
There is also an off licence with a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Situated on the B4221 between the M50 and the small market town of Newent you will always receive a warm welcome at the Gorsley Village Post Office and Stores. Open from Monday to Saturday 0830 1800. Early closing on Saturday.
